Day 17: The LEGO Bell — Listening to Inner Wisdom

Blog content

Theme: Inner signals guide aligned choices.
Prompt: What is your body or intuition asking for right now?

Day 17 of the LEGO Advent Coaching Journey invites us to explore signals — not as warnings to fear, but as information we can trust.

The LEGO build today is a bell.

A bell doesn’t shout.
It doesn’t force.
It simply signals.

And then it’s up to us to listen.

Signals and Inner Wisdom

Most of us already know the right answer.

Not intellectually — but intuitively.

There is an inner wisdom that lives beneath the noise of expectations, urgency, and “shoulds.” It shows up as sensations, emotions, impulses, and quiet knowing.

But in busy seasons, that voice can get drowned out.

We move quickly from one thing to the next.
We prioritize what is expected.
We do what we think we should do.

Over time, the “should” can override the “want” — until the want becomes harder to hear at all.

Want vs. Should

The nervous system responds differently to want and should.

Should is often external.
It carries pressure.
It tightens.
It narrows choice.

Want is internal.
It feels quieter, but more true.
It carries energy rather than draining it.

Listening to inner signals helps us return to want — not in a selfish sense, but in an aligned one.

When we consistently ignore those signals, the body often finds louder ways to speak. When we listen early, the message stays gentle.

Slowing Down to Listen

Inner signals are subtle.

They rarely announce themselves when we’re rushing.

They emerge when we slow down — even briefly.

That might look like:
• a pause between tasks
• a few slow breaths
• a short walk
• placing a hand on your body and noticing sensation
• a moment of stillness before responding

Guided meditation can also be a powerful way to reconnect with intuition. Not to find answers, but to create enough quiet for what’s already there to surface.

In a season that often asks for more doing, listening becomes an act of self-trust.

The LEGO Bell as a Symbol

The LEGO bell represents awareness.

Not alarm.
Not urgency.
But attunement.

It reminds us that information is always present — in the body, in emotion, in intuition — if we create space to notice it.

You don’t need to force clarity.
You need to hear what’s already being offered.

Today’s Reflection: What Are You Being Asked to Hear?

Today’s reflection is gentle and grounding.

Ask yourself:
• What is my body communicating right now?
• What feels aligned — even if it’s quiet?
• Where have I been choosing “should” over “want”?
• What might shift if I trusted my inner signals a little more this week?
• What would slowing down help me hear?

You don’t need to act on everything you notice.
Listening is enough to begin.

Your LEGO Build

Your LEGO bell today can represent:
• intuition
• inner wisdom
• awareness
• alignment
• listening before acting
• trust in your own signals

Build it however it feels right to you.

There is no correct bell — only the one that reflects how you listen.

If you feel called to share your build or your reflection, I would love to see it — publicly or privately.

See you for Day 18.
