Day 11: The LEGO Angel and the Whisper of Courage
Blog content
Theme: Courage sounds like a whisper.
Prompt: What quiet courage is calling you?
Today’s LEGO Advent Coaching prompt is the Angel — a symbol of courage, guidance, and the inner voice we often hear long before we’re ready to act.
But here’s the truth about courage:
It rarely arrives as a roar.
It shows up as a whisper.
A nudge.
A tiny pull toward something you’re not fully sure you can do… yet somehow know you must.
And that whisper is easy to dismiss — especially during a season filled with noise, pressure, and endless expectations.
Yesterday we talked about presence vs. presents.
Today is about listening to the part of you that wants to move forward — not faster, but deeper — into the life you want to create.
Courage Is Always the First Step
We often imagine courage as bold, loud, heroic.
But in coaching, neuroscience, and lived human experience, courage shows up differently:
Courage is fear walking.
Courage is choosing movement even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
Courage is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be.
On the 7 Levels of Effectiveness model I often teach, courage is the first positive emotional state.
Below it are frustration, anger, and resignation — states that drain energy and narrow possibility.
But courage… courage shifts the system.
Courage means:
Change is coming.
Something new is possible.
Your brain is opening to hope, ideas, and direction.
You’re stepping out of reactivity and into intentional choice.
Courage doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid.
It simply means the part of you that wants more is finally louder than the part of you that wants to stay safe.
And that whisper?
That’s your nervous system saying, “You’re ready.”
What My LEGO Angel Meant to Me Today
My LEGO Angel reminded me that guidance doesn’t always appear in big declarations.
Often, it shows up as:
a soft thought
a small idea
a gentle shift
a feeling in your chest
a sentence you can’t stop thinking about
a moment of… “Maybe I could.”
Today, my build asked me to listen more closely to those soft pulls — the ones that don’t demand attention, but invite it.
Courage, for me today, looked like slowing down long enough to hear what I’ve been avoiding.
It looked like trusting my inner signal instead of brushing it off as “not the right time.”
It looked like choosing presence over perfection.
Today’s Reflection: What Quiet Courage Is Calling You?
Not the big dramatic leap.
Not the “new year, new me” overhaul.
Just one quiet act of courage.
Ask yourself:
What would I love to have the courage to do today?
What would I love to have the courage to change — even a little?
Who would I love to have the courage to be?
And then ask:
If I listened to that whisper…
What might shift in December?
What would open up for me?
What frustration might fall away?
What new energy or possibility might take its place?
Sometimes courage is:
writing the message
setting a boundary
speaking your truth
resting when you usually push
saying yes
saying no
trying again
letting go
beginning something small that matters
Whatever your whisper is… trust it.
That’s where transformation begins.
Your LEGO Build
Your LEGO Angel today can represent:
quiet courage
guidance you’re willing to receive
change that begins with a whisper
stepping into the first positive level of effectiveness
trusting your inner knowing
choosing presence over perfection
There’s no right way to build — only the way that reflects your courage today.
If you want to share your LEGO Angel or the whisper you’re listening to, I would love to hear it — privately or publicly.
See you for Day 12.
